2nd Annual Caribe Talent Show
Excitement is building as news of the 2nd Annual Caribe Talent Show is
spreading. Plans are being finalized, with the date of the event soon to be
announced.
Caribe Talent Show
The first, annual
Caribe Talent Show was held at the Lazy River on Monday, September 4
(Labor Day). There were 6 acts in each of the divisions, 15 and younger, as well
as 16 and up.
In the 15 and younger age division, the results were as follows:
1st Place went to 11 year-old Erin Tanner from Baton Rouge, LA. She sang Carrie
Underwood's new song, "Jesus Take the Wheel."
2nd Place went to 12 year-olds Heather Higginbotham and Lexie Griffin from
Jackson, MS. They danced to a song by Fort Minor.
3rd Place went to 5 year-old Brileigh Wyckoff from Daphne, AL. She sang
"Running Bear."
In the 16 and over age division, the results were as follows:
1st Place went to 17 year-old Ashley Sisk from Mobile, AL. She sang "Old Time
Rock and Roll" by Bob Seager.
2nd Place went to Julie Kacir from Orange Beach, AL. She sang "Reflections" from
Disney's Mulan.
3rd Place went to Kathy Gapske from Orange Beach, AL. She played her flute and
sang the Traditional and Pop version of Titanic.
